VINIFICATION

The Lussac Saint-Emillion Appellation is found to the north of the hill of Saint-Emilion. The first vineyard to be designated a World heritage Site, the region is fill charm, with prestigious historic houses and Romanesque churches dominating its many hillsides. The vineyard is planted on hillsides, plateaux and at the foot of the slopes. The soil can be Perigord sand or clay-limestone, producing wines which can be enjoyed young as well as those designed for long ageing.
The winemaking is oriented to the extraction while respecting the fruit. Fermentation between 28oC - 30oC. Quite long vatting, between 3 and 5 weeks. 15% of the volume is aged in oak barrel during 6 months to give to the blend an aromatic complexity.


THE WINE

Deep red colour. Crisp nose, woith floral and fruity aromas and a discreet touch of wood. Rather elegant attack on the palate, followed by a firmer evolution with a woody structure.

Serve at: 18oC
Wine & Food: To be enjoyed in accompaniment of a steak with shallots or a veal with mushrooms.
