The vines are established on Cairanne's hillsides at different locations. The chalkey-clayey soil is red and stony. The vines are 40-60 years old and the yield therefore naturally limited.
Effected by Robert Charavin woth the assistance and advice of Philippe Cambie. The crop hardly 35 hectolitres per hectare, one bottle max par vinestock, is carefully sorted out and de-stemmed. 2 weeks alcoholic fermentation in Burgundian open wooden vats, sawn off cone shape at controlled temperature with frequent punching-downs and a few delestages. The wine is then aged in cement vats until it is ready of bottling.

The very bright ddark cherry color, with inky hues. Very powerful nose of wild myrtles, with scents of garrigue, the Mediterranean scrubland (cade, genever, thyme, rosemary) and notes of fine leather.
On the palate, an elegant wine with finesse and unctousity, with aromas of ripe cherry, prune, stewed pear combined with complex scents of soft spices.
Robert Parket rating: 91-93/100
