The vines are astablished on Rasteau’s hillsides with south - southwest. The soil is chalky-clayey and pebbly. The vines are 40-60 years old and the yield therefore naturally limited.

Effected by Robert Charavin woth the assistance and advice of Philippe Cambie. The crop hardly 35 hectolitres per hectare, one bottle max par vinestock, is carefully sorted out and de-stemmed. 2 weeks alcoholic fermentation in Burgundian open wooden vats, sawn off cone shape at controlled temperature with frequent punching-downs and a few delestages. The wine is then aged in cement vats untill it is ready for bottling.


A very bright dark cherry color, pleasant bouquet breathing out aromas of strawberry and blackcurrant with scents of wild plum.

On the palate, an ample wine, silky and pleasurable. with a lot of sucrosity on aromas of stewed plums, black figs and wild blackberry.


Serve at: 16oC
Wine & Food: Delicious on its own or with beef and lamb dishes as well as well matured French cheeses.
